Job Description: This is a Temp to Hire position.
The Filling Operator is responsible for staging, filling, packaging and labeling finished goods according to defined work orders. Additional responsibilities include cleaning and flushing kettles and lines. The position requires multi-tasking to operate filling equipment, motors, and measuring devices to ensure quality and proper weight of finished products. Filling Operators follow defined procedures and practices to ensure production is safe, efficient and accurate; and remain active during the assigned shift. Operators are required to operate a forklift, and other material handling devices may be required.
Responsibilities
- Stage pallets and containers required to support filling operations, and ensure packaging is clean and free of debris/contamination.
- Fill containers according to production work orders in a time sensitive environment.
- Pull and submit samples to Quality Control department as required.
- Monitor process equipment, such as pressure gauges and motors, throughout the filling process.
- Seal and place finished goods on designated pallets.
- Flush and clean kettle and filling lines to prepare for the next product.
- Record partial quantities and flush oil then move material to Manufacturing.
- Notify Lead/Supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow established safety protocols.
- Perform general housekeeping, maintenance, and organization of the filling and staging areas.
- Coordinate with Warehouse Lead and assist in receipt of drum trailers and sampling and offloading railcars as necessary.

Job Requirements:
- Prior warehouse experience or manufacturing background preferred; familiarity with materials handling is a plus.
- Experience in petroleum / chemical filling operations preferred.
- Prior forklift experience.
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with machining or equipment maintenance is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control and safety protocols.
Work hours are 5:00am-2:00pm (1st shift) Monday through Friday.
Pays $15 per hour, will be paid for holidays. (2 days for Independence Day 7/2-7/3, Labor Day 9/7, 2 days for Thanksgiving 11/26-11/27, 2 days for Christmas 12/24-12/25)
We require a 10-panel drug screen and background check.
