Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Development Representative. Responsible for achieving sales goals and driving new business development through proactive sales efforts and strong client relationship management. Ensures all activities align with company values, profitability targets, and high standards of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed assigned sales volume, revenue, and profit targets within company guidelines.
- Develop and execute strategic sales and market plans for assigned territory and accounts.
- Build, maintain, and grow relationships with clients, prospects, and referral sources to drive new and repeat business.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities while balancing short- and long-term sales cycles.
- Lead major project activities, including sales strategy development and coordination with internal teams from initial sale through implementation.
- Collaborate with project managers, sales leadership, and support staff to ensure successful project execution.
- Conduct client presentations, product demonstrations, and site tours throughout the sales process.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of industry trends, products, and design concepts within the contract furniture market.
- Monitor project progress, order entry, and follow-up activities to ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Manage accounts receivable and assist with collection efforts as needed.
- Cross-sell additional services, including design, installation, and related offerings.
- Provide regular updates to sales management on account activity and pipeline status.
- Maintain professional, service-oriented interactions with all clients and stakeholders.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and industry engagement.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum 2+ years of successful sales or related experience.
- Proven ability to sell to senior-level decision-makers.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities; capable of handling multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, assertive, and results-driven with a high sense of urgency.
- Ability to manage long sales cycles (18–24 months) and projects of varying size and scope.
- Experience with architectural, design, or construction communities preferred.
- Familiarity with conceptual and systems-based selling approaches preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and commitment to professionalism and integrity.
